The Atlas Training CDA Program is a training program in child development that is based on the national CDA Credential. The program's interactive, competency-based model supports learners to acquire knowledge and develop skills that will enable them to apply best practices to their work with young children between the ages of 0-5 in licensed childcare settings.
In this module, participants learn to recognize characteristics of safe, healthful learning environments for young children. Course content explores strategies to both prevent and respond to injury; prevent, identify and respond to illness; promote healthful habits related to both nutrition and physical activity; ensure cleanliness and sanitation in classroom settings; and develop age-appropriate learning environments that support young children's diverse developmental needs.
