In this module, participants will identify the milestones associated with physical, cognitive, communicative, and creative development of children between the ages of 0-5. Participants will discuss and analyze developmental progressions and will apply knowledge to plan activities and learning experiences that support healthy development of both typical children and children with disabilities.

In this module, participants learn to recognize characteristics of safe, healthful learning environments for young children. In this module, we will explore strategies to both prevent and respond to injury; prevent, identify and respond to illness; promote healthful habits related to both nutrition and physical activity; ensure cleanliness and sanitation in classroom settings; and develop age-appropriate learning environments that support young children's diverse developmental needs.

The Atlas Training CDA Program is a training program in child development that is based on the national CDA Credential. The program's interactive, competency-based model supports learners to acquire knowledge and develop skills that will enable them to apply best practices to their work with young children between the ages of 0-5 in licensed childcare settings.
